Het viel mij laatst op dat paracetamol qua molecuul heel erg op amfetamine lijkt.
Paracetamol heeft qua structuur iets meer weg van phenylethylamine en noradrenaline, zonder methylgroep zoals amfetamine dus. Maar qua werking lijkt het zeer weinig overeenkomsten te hebben. Al valt er weinig informatie over te vinden omdat de werking van paracetamol nog altijd slecht begrepen wordt.
Zou je het in principe kunnen gebruiken om je "wakker" of "blij" te voelen.
Je kunt paracetamol gebruiken om wakker te blijven mits je bereid bent een vrij helse pijn te ondervinden.

Er is mij verteld dat paracetamol overdosis een van de meest pijnlijke manieren is om te sterven.
In Vlaanderen is ibuprofen enkel op doktersvoorschrift verkrijgbaar. Wellicht niet de meest constructieve gedachte maar ik heb mij wel eens af gevraagd wat daarvoor de reden is. Aan de andere kant kent Vlaanderen ook meer paracetamol overdoseringen dan Nederland.
